Baby Marvin is a minor character in Baby Looney Tunes. He was voiced by Samuel Vincent.
About Marvin[]
Baby Marvin is a human-like alien from Mars and the toddler version of Marvin the Martian. He debuted in "War of the Weirds" as a visitor to Granny's house.
He shares many similarities with his adult counterpart; he has a black spherical head with only two eyes on it and wears a green helmet and skirt, a red suit, white gloves, and tennis shoes. Both Baby Marvin and his adult counterpart are generally quiet and clever. They are also fond of using telescopes and doing experiments.
However, unlike his adult counterpart who has destructive tendencies to plot to destroy Earth and to shoot with a disintegrator, Baby Marvin helps fix the other babies' broken toys. Also, Baby Marvin does not get very angry indeed and wants to play with other babies.
His helmet has a curved crest and sports a propeller on its upper section, rather than his adult counterpart's push broom, and his feet and hands are smaller in proportion.
Granny describes Marvin as "a quiet child" and "perhaps a bit shy and unsure of himself around new kids". Marvin is mostly nonverbal, as he is too shy to talk to the babies and gets nervous and responds by fidgeting and muttering. Distressed with the babies picking on him for seeming "strange" and "weird", he turns to Taz and cries. Taz cheers him up and offers to become his friend. However, even as he and Taz become friends and play on the slide, the babies continue to pick on him. Taz, on Marvin's behalf, tells the babies that Marvin doesn't talk to those who don't know him.
To the amazement of the babies, he fixes Bugs' toy rocket with his hands. He is only able to talk after Bugs offers to play his rocket. Also, he utters Bugs' name after Taz introduced Bugs to him.
Marvin generally sports a jolly personality in the music videos. He demonstrates cleverness when he plays hide-and-seek with Granny and the babies in the song "Oh Where, Oh Where Has My Baby Martian Gone?"

Fun Stuff[]
- Marvin's helmet and skirt-like armor are inspired by the Roman soldiers' cingulum.
- Since Marvin apparently has no mouth, Marvin speaks "totally through his movements" which "demanded a kind of expressive body mechanics", according to Chuck Jones, the original creator of adult Marvin the Martian.
- The music videos explicitly show his extraterrestrial origin. However, in "War of the Weirds", Granny never mentions Marvin is from Mars; instead, she tells the babies that Marvin "is going to be visiting for a while."
- Throughout "War of the Weirds", Taz serves as Marvin's mouthpiece when he is too shy to talk to the babies. After playing on the slide with Marvin, Bugs angrily goes to the sandbox and exchanges an argument with Taz. Taz tells the babies that Marvin isn't weird and Marvin fixes their broken toys. After Marvin is able to talk, Taz tells Daffy that Marvin doesn't talk to those who don't know him.
- Marvin has a lot of quirks in the Baby Looney Tunes series.
- In the song "Ten Loonies in a Bed", he stretches his arms and drives a rocket to space home to Mars.
- In the song "Oh Where Has My Baby Martian Gone?", he plays hide-and-seek with Granny and the babies in odd ways.
- He hides in a glass of milk and in a cookie jar avoiding Granny
- He goes through and back to the faucet and hides through the rug playing with Daffy on the bathtub.
- In the intro of the song "Twinkle Baby Looney Star", he briefly walks in a shuffle on his way to the big telescope just like his adult counterpart usually does. He also does the shuffle walk in the end part of the song "Born to Sing".
- In "War of the Weirds", he keeps the toys inside his body and can fix toys with his hands.
- Marvin has a pet named Baby K-9. Baby K-9, however, appears only in merchandise.
- Marvin is one of the two characters that never wears a diaper, the other one being Baby Taz.
- Marvin is also one of the three characters that wear gloves, the other two being Bugs and Lola.
